I'd like to personally thank everyone who came to the Schuylerville Chamber of Commerce's Inaugural March Mixer Tuesday night to honor Dave and Mary Roberts. (And I'm especially grateful for everyone's cooperation in keeping it quiet so we could actually surprise them. Who says you can't keep a secret in a small town?)
Since moving to Schuylerville in 2014, I have observed their tireless work to develop and promote this historical village, not only as part of the Chamber, but in their business and personal lives as well. When Dave strong-arm . . . er, I mean, offered me the opportunity to take over as Chamber President, I knew I had huge shoes to fill! I was really pleased to see how many people came out to join me in honoring Dave and Mary.
A big shout-out goes to Bob and Marie Foster, who helped me plan this, to Saratoga Town Supervisor Tom Wood for honoring Dave and Mary on behalf of the Town, and to Nate Darrow and Saratoga Apple for hosting us. (And to the folks at Sweeney's, those turkey club wraps were a big hit!) Thanks again to all involved!
